Job Summary

Corinth Campus; full time. Engage and coordinate through local area employers, workforce centers, employment services providers, and other appropriate group’s employment opportunities for educated and skilled students seeking employment and work experience opportunities, upon completion of occupational skills award, degree or a certificate. Deliver career and job readiness classroom presentations and workshops for students. Plan and support the execution of career fairs and employment events. Guide new students to develop successful job readiness soft-skills and habits for future career options. The Career & Workforce Advisor will support the Career Services Center Coordinator in liaising with area employers and workforce development boards. Assist in completion and maintenance of client eligibility documents and project performance data. Maintain student case management files and placement records. Position is contingent upon continued grant funding. May be subject to criminal background check. Salary commensurate with experience and education.

Required Experience

Bachelor degree; three years of professional level experience in higher education student services, career readiness/job placement services, social service programs, or federally funded labor or educational programs. Resume required in addition to application.
